Photo Essay Reflection Questions:
The subject of my photo essay is nature, and these photographs were take in my garden. This topic was chosen because I find nature to be beautiful, and this is important to me because people often miss the beauty in nature. I wanted to share it through these photographs. The concept i tried to portray on this topic is beauty, and uniqueness. Each plant or flower that is photographed is distinctly unique in its own way, and this is meant to portray how people. like flowers, are distinctly different and uniquely beautiful. Visually, my images captured the narrative of my essay through the various angles they were taken. It shows how each subject has a different perspective, much like people have different perspectives. Also, through these different perspectives, the plant's beauty is shown, and makes it appealing for the view to look at. There is no specific order in which the photographs were taken. As stated before, the photographs view points and angles in which the photos were taken were unique, and display the plants in a different making them appealing to the sight of viewers. These photographs were modified to be in black and white, because it would make them relate to one another better, which is how I visually unified my essay. Also, the lighting is high to moderate, which allows the flowers's detail to shine through.
